Tamale Monitoring Office working visit  

 

The Administrator of GETFund, Dr. Richard Ampofo Boadu has on Tuesday, 3rd October 2022 paid a working visit to the Northern Sector office of the Trust Fund.

The working visit, first of its kind by the Administrator, coincided with the One Year Anniversary of the setting up of that monitoring office in Tamale, Northern Region. The Office began operations on 1st October, 2021.

 

The Northern enclave GETFund office covers six (6) regions; Oti, North East, Upper West, Upper East, Savanna and the Northern.

Dr. Boadu in his remarks expressed his delight with the opportunity to have finally fulfilled this much awaited trip to the new office. He said the Board of Trustees of the Fund approved the setting of three (3) monitoring offices; Southern Zone, Accra, Middle Belt Zone, Kumasi and Northern Zone, Tamale, with the purpose of touching base with project sites.

 

Hitherto, the Fund had just an office in Accra where all its staff were stationed.

“Indeed, I'm pleasantly surprised with the office set up with its fully branded core activities of the Fund. This is really a modern office”

He promised to table their concerns on security and insurance cover for staff that travelled in dangerous lonely roads, and the crossing of rivers in order to monitor project sites before the Board of Trustees for consideration and action.

Dr. Boadu praised staff for their tenacity of duty alertness in traveling to some of these difficult terrains to be able to bring to management up to speed with ongoing projects and needs assessments.

 

Head of the Northern Sector Zonal Office, Mr. Seidu Adams in his address appreciated the presence of the Administrator and his entourage. Mr. Seidu believed the visit is iconic and historic as being first of its kind to the new office.

 

“Such a visit will certainly boost staff morale and work ethics going forward”, Mr. Seidu said.
