2024 graduating class of Trinity Theological Seminary

Your success is not just personal but also a sacred trust – GETFund) Administrator tells new pastors.

 

The Administrator of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), Dr. Richard Ampofo Boadu, has said the success of the 2024 graduating class of Trinity Theological Seminary isn’t just a personal achievement rather, it’s also a Sacred Trust that has been bestowed on them to be able to influence society positively.

“Your education over the duration in this prestigious institution has equipped you with all the knowledge and the wherewithal to shape society and steer it towards just and equitable ends’’, Dr Boadu said.

The Administrator was addressing the 79th Graduation Ceremony of the Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, Accra, on Saturday 2nd November 2024 as the Guest Speaker. He was speaking on the theme “Theological Education, Peaceful Elections, and Social Justice”. The administrator said the chosen theme for the ocassion was apt and timely as it resonates with the season of the 2024 general elections.

The distinguished innovator added that the theme invites us all to reflect on the critical role that theological education plays setting our society on right footing for progress and development.
He charged the fresh graduates to be the moral compass of society and the voice of the weak and the marginalized groups.
As captured by the Prophet Micah, What does the Lord require of you? To Act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God”. (Micah 6:8). May this verse be your guiding principle as you strive to navigate the complex issue of social justice, the love of humanity as well as protecting the wellbeing of all persons”, Dr. Boadu advised.

 In all three hundred forty eight men and women graduated in various programmes including four (4) PhDs, two hundred forty nine (249) matter’s certificates, sixty six (66) Bachelor Degrees, four (4) Diplomates and twenty )25) Certificate courses.
The ceremony was presided by the Institute’s Council Chairman, and the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye with assistance from the President of the Trinity, Rev Professor Frederick Mawusi Amevenku.
