The Minister further proposed a funding formula that allocates 35% of resources to basic education and 40% to higher education, stressing the importance of infrastructure support in preparation for increasing enrollments. He also highlighted the urgent need for furniture in basic and secondary schools, based on recent engagements with CHASS.
Hon. Iddrisu encouraged the Board to support local PhD training under GTEC, promote merit-based scholarships, and consider revising MP education-related project funding. He also proposed the creation of an emergency response budget for schools affected by natural disasters.

In response, Board Chairman Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah expressed gratitude to the President and Minister for the confidence reposed in the members. He acknowledged the Minister’s concerns and assured him of the Board’s commitment to addressing them—particularly the completion of over 3,500 abandoned GETFund projects nationwide.
