On Monday, 11th August 2025, The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) convened its staff durbar under the leadership of the Administrator, Mr. Paul Adjei, setting a clear agenda for strategic innovation and institutional growth at its headquarters, Accra. The meeting brought together staff from the headquarters, southern and northern zones, who focuses on aligning efforts to enhance GETFund as a transparent and effective enabler of quality education across Ghana.

In the highlights of the Administrator’s address, he announced the introduction of the GETFund Mobile App which is currently underway to enhance students’ accessibility and public engagement in raising funds to supplement financing education. He also assured staff in the Southern and Northern zones that arrangements have been made to commence the building of GETFund edifices in Wa, Tamale, and Kumasi to strengthen regional operations.

Mr. Adjei emphasized the need to embark on the transformation agenda set by H.E. President John Mahama, focusing on fueling “The School Agribusiness” and Poultry-Farm initiatives to ensure the effective implementation of the School Feeding programme in the various Senior High Schools across the country. He reiterated that these initiatives will be established in partnership with the National Service Authority, the Ministry of Education, Ghana Education Service, foreign and local organisations and other charity foundations.

His address outlined four strategic priorities to the GETFund such as, enhancing excellent processes through streamlined and automated operations, strengthening governance with strict financial discipline and transparency, promoting staff development by inculcating a positive and inclusive organisational culture and fostering team cohesion, with an open internal communication to drive collaboration and innovation.

The Administrator concluded by acknowledging the contributions, suggestions and praises of the staff during the durbar. Additionally, he expressed his appreciation for the commitment and professionalism of staff, recognizing them as the backbone of the institution and encouraged staff to be team builders and team players to unite their skills to achieve a common goal.

Also, present in the meeting was the Deputy Administrator, Hon. Alhassan Sualihu Dandaawa.
