The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has officially activated significant infrastructure project upgrade at Karaga Senior High School (SHS). Funded under the New Targeted Emergency Projects (NTEmP), the project has secured financing and is targeted for completion within an ambitious eight-month timeline. The comprehensive scope of work includes two 2-storey dormitory blocks (for boys and girls), a 2-storey Library/ICT block, a 2-storey 12-unit Classroom block, and a 2,500-capacity Dining Hall with a Kitchen.

This intervention aligns with Administrator Mr. Paul Adjei’s vision to bridge critical infrastructure deficits that resonate with the President’s reset agenda for educational sector growth.

The Deputy Administrator, Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Sualihu Dandaawa, who led the delegation on October 5, 2025, accompanied by the Head of Corporate Affairs, the Northern Zonal Office, Project Consultants, and the designated Contractor inspected proposed sites.

The delegation conducted constructive stakeholder engagements with the District Chief Executive, the District Education Director, and community leaders. The visit successfully concluded the feasibility checks, confirming site suitability and implementation readiness for the new ultra-modern facilities.

The Headmaster seized the opportunity to express gratitude for a newly completed Administration block, which the team inspected. He also appealed for continued infrastructural support to manage the school’s rapidly growing student population, a plea which Hon. Dandaawa readily provided assurance.
