Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has supported the Ghana National Research Fund (GNRF), with a fully furnished office complex to promote national development through research and education.
The new facility, located in East Legon, Accra, was officially handed over on November 26, 2025. This initiative was championed by the Administrator of GETFund, Mr. Paul Adjei, underscoring GETFund’s dedication to facilitating the operational effectiveness of key national educational and research institutions.
The handing-over ceremony featured a tour of the facility, led by the Administrator of the GNRF, Professor Abigail Opoku Mensah, who expressed their profound gratitude for the gesture, emphasizing that the new, dedicated workspace is crucial for enabling the GNRF team to work effectively and fulfill its mandate.
Board Chairman of the GNRF, Professor Eric Yirenkyi Danquah echoed this sentiment, highlighting his appreciation for the swift intervention by GETFund. He reaffirmed the GNRF’s readiness to continually support national development initiatives through rigorous research and innovation.
This partnership between GETFund and the GNRF is expected to significantly boost the execution of high-impact research projects across the country.
